Sheila Isles-Truax:

Founder of Midland Physical Therapy, Inc, in 1995. Sheila earned her Bachelor of Science in physical therapy in 1990 from Oakland University and she completed her Master’s Certificate in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy in 1992. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy as well as a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Michigan Physical Therapy Association. Sheila received the 2004 Outstanding Clinical Instructor Award from the Michigan Physical Therapy Association.

Amy Campbell:

Amy earned her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Central Michigan University in 2004. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Masters of Science in Kinesiology and a Bachelors of Science in Movement Science. She spent 2 years working as a physical therapist and clinical director in Alma, Michigan, prior to moving back to Midland. She is happy to be working at Midland Physical Therapy, and helping people of all ages return to the activities they enjoy. Amy is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Michigan Physical Therapy Association.

Kristi Turner:

Kristi is the newest physical therapist to join Midland Physical Therapy, Inc. She has been practicing for more than 9 years and graduated from the Osteopathic School in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1998. She completed her undergraduate degree at Michigan State University where she played soccer as a 4-year starter. Kristi enjoys combining her manual skills with her expertise in therapuetic exercise to treat a variety of patients - from the young athlete to the geriatric patient. She continues to be active and can be found running with her dogs, boating, or riding on the Rail Trail.

Janet Schachtner:

Janet is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with over 28 years experience. Privileged to have worked in many aspects of Physical Therapy, she has been employed in both hospital and outpatient settings, as well as home care physical therapy. Janet was instrumental in editing a portion of the book “DASH: Diabetes Actively Staying Healthy,” as a member of the international diabetes education team at Mid-Michigan Medical Center.

Emily Oberholtzer:

Emily graduated from Delta College in 2006 as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Originally from Ohio, Emily began her education at Ohio State University studying art and math education.

Her interests in helping children led her to becoming a camp counselor to youths, ages 8-18 years, over a 6-year period. She has also worked at a school for disabled children and adults, assisting them in their development of school and work skills. An outdoor enthusiast, Emily recently ran a marathon, has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and has studied Kung Fu and Jiu-jitsu

Sarah Strom:

A lifelong Midland resident, Sarah is the newest member of the Midland Physical Therapy staff.  She attended Delta College and graduated in 2007, receiving her Associates degree in Applied Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Prior to this, Sara worked in the health care field for twelve years in various settings, including acute care, home health care and a skilled nursing facility. She has also worked as a paraprofessional with special education students. Sarah is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Michigan Physical Therapy Association.

Allison Swanson:

After 25 years of dedicated nursing service to the people of Midland, Allison had the need and opportunity to see another side of the medical field. She is currently the office manager and insurance specialist for Midland Physical Therapy. As a nurse, Allison has worked in the hospital setting for many years, as well as 11 years in family practice. She is a lifelong resident and overall ambassador for the city of Midland, which she loves. Her unique and caring background as a nurse, coupled with her daily face to face contact with the clinic’s patients, provides patients with a single, caring, person they can go to about their insurance questions.

Lisa Windle:

Lisa joined Midland Physical Therapy in October 2004. Currently, she assists with billing and scheduling needs. She has only enjoyed her time so far and says she is looking forward to many more memories being born at Midland Physical Therapy.

Shelly Krawczak:

Shelly is Midland Physical Therapy’s receptionist, and is usually the first smiling face you’ll see when you walk through the door. Prior to joining our staff, Shelly worked as a medical assistant in an orthopedic clinic assisting with in-office procedures, which provides her with a unique vantage point as a receptionist.

Bear:

Currently serving as Midland Physical Therapy's door greeter, Bear is known as the lovable little puppy that nobody can resist. Contrary to the stereotypical lap-dog, Bear is well-mannered, soft spoken and quite lovable. He loves company and enjoys spending his time roaming the offices in the back.
